The NEW 5V ZWO EAF (Electronic Automatic Focuser) is a precise motor focuser that is essential for planetary and deep-sky astrophotography. This updated version removes the 12V power supply port and lets you connect it directly to your camera, laptop or ASIAIR via the USB 2.0 port, making cable management much easier.

It is ASCOM and INDI compatible, allowing to use it with third party software for the automatic focusing (frame and focus). It can be used in combination with the ASIAIR device and the ASICAP software.

The advanced version includes a temperature sensor and a hand controller for manual focusing. The sensor is used to calculate the change of temperature of the tube and consequently its focus shrinkage. The hand controller has two speeds and it is particularly useful for visual observations or during the complex focusing procedure in high resolution imaging of planets.

The EAF is compatible with several telescopes:

  • SkyWatcher Black Diamond, Evostar, Esprit (100mm to 150mm) and Quattro (refractors and Newtons)

  • Feather Touch

With the optional brackets for Takahashi telescopes, the EAF can be installed on more instruments:
