SKYWATCHER HELIOSTAR 76Ha SOLAR TELESCOPE
Sky-Watcher
Achromatic doublet

SKYWATCHER HELIOSTAR 76Ha SOLAR TELESCOPE is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Sky-Watcher Heliostar 76Ha is a Hydrogen-alpha solar telescope with a half bandwidth of <0.5Å, perfect for viewing and imaging prominences.
Multiple safety features are incorporated into the design including front mounted ERF film that effectively reflects infrared wavelengths, keeping the optics cool and reducing internal thermal currents. An internal UV-cut filter prevents these damaging wavelengths from reaching the observer's eye.
The pressure-tuned etalon passes H-alpha light at a bandpass of less than 0.5 Ångstrom at 656.28nm, showing exceptional detail without the need for a costly second etalon as found in some competing "double-stacked" solar scopes. While the Heliostar is optimized for viewing and imaging prominences, you will still see a remarkable amount of detail on the chromosphere.
Features
- Pressure-tuned internal etalon
- Built-in energy rejection filters
- 11.5mm blocking filter built into the included Heliostar diagonal
- Built-in Solar finder
- Focal length: 630mm
- Diameter: 76mm
- Focal ratio: f/8.3
- Dual-speed Crayford focuser
- Solar image size: 6mm
- Tube weight: 3.8kg
Note: The Heliostar can only be used with its specific included diagonal, as this houses the important blocking filter. This diagonal is removable, but you must not look through the scope without it, otherwise irreversible eye damage will occur!
