SKYMAX 150 WITH DAYSTAR QUARK SOLAR KIT

The SkyWatcher SkyMax 150 Maksutov-Cassegrain plus Daystar Combo Quark make for a powerful solar imaging and observation system, equivalent in performance to a dedicated 150mm solar telescope at a fraction of the price.

This kit includes the SkyMax 150, Daystar front-mounted Energy Rejection Filter, Daystar Combo Quark H-alpha eyepiece, and William Optics 2" Durabright Diagonal.

The Sky-Watcher 150/1800 Skymax Maksutov-Cassegrain is a compact and powerful optical design that combines a front meniscus and two mirrors. As the optical tube is closed by the meniscus, the mirrors are protected from atmospheric agents such as humidity and dust. Also a closed tube does not suffer from tube currents that limit the resolution power. 

The Combo Quark is available in either Prominence or Chromosphere versions, depending on your goals:

• The Chromosphere version features a bandpass between 0.5 - 0.3Å (depending on your telescope's f-ratio), making it the perfect choice for viewing surface detail, although prominences will still be visible.
• The Prominence version has a bandpass of 0.8 - 0.6Å, which will deliver bright, high-contrast views of prominences against a jet black sky.
