The Seestar S30 is the latest all-in-one smart telescope from ZWO, integrating their renowned astronomy technology into a simple to use, multi-focal length instrument. Tiny and mighty, the S30 includes both wide-angle and telephoto optics, making it an incredibly versatile tool.
The S30 features the highly sensitive Sony IMX662 Starvis 2 colour sensor for the main telephoto lens, giving a field of view of 2.46 degrees. The wide-angle lens offers a massive 23.2 degree field of view, making it perfect for capturing the Milky Way.
Featuring built-in ASIAIR intelligent controller, EAF electronic autofocuser, GOTO mount, dew heater, astronomical camera and filter switcher, plus a sturdy tripod, the Seestar S30 is a truly capable imaging instrument at an incredible price.
Like its bigger brother, the S30 features apochromatic triplet optics with high quality coatings, resulting in excellent control of chromatic aberration, unlike other smart telescopes which typically feature cheap achromatic doublets.
The Seestar S30 includes a narrow dual-band filter which cuts through light pollution and isolates the H-alpha and OIII emission lines of nebulae. In addition, newly developed AI-powered post-processing results in cleaner images than ever before. Also included is a high quality white-light magnetic clip-on solar filter, allowing you to capture full disc images of of the Sun.
The Seestar app now includes a powerful mosaic mode for automated imaging of large targets such as the Orion nebulae, Eta Carina and more. Just choose the region you'd like to capture in the app, and away it goes!
