The EAGLE 6 S is an advanced computer for complete astrophotography control. With its fast 13th gen i3 (TDP 15W) processor, industrial-grade 8 GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD. EAGLE 6 S adds also Thunderbolt 4 connectivity to the 2 USB-C ports with data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps.

The EAGLE 6 S is a full Windows 11 Enterprise computer that is 100% compatible with any software and driver created for Windows 11 64 bit. It features dual-band WiFi 6E (802.11ax) for a powerful and fast connection to your home network or directly to your device. The industrial-grade SSD and RAM ensures the best reliability even in very low temperatures.

New features include Lights-Out Management (LOM), allowing remote power-on and monitoring of sensors via a dedicated Ethernet port, even when the computer is powered off, Observatory Actions, with CTRL-IN and CTRL-OUT ports for easy remote control of devices like mounts and domes and WiFi 6E (802.11ax) providing faster speeds, reduced latency, and less interference. Additional advanced features include GPS sensor, EYE sky brightness monitor, Inclinometer, Motion detector, DARK mode to disable LEDs, and GHOST mode to replace USB cables for PrimaLuceLab devices with wireless connectivity.

Note: EAGLE computers require a properly voltage-regulated power supply. Certain equipment such as some brands of cooled cameras can draw a lot of current when turned on, causing the voltage to the EAGLE to drop below 12V. This can cause the EAGLE to shut off to protect itself. Thus, a regulated power supply is required to prevent this from happening. Contact us if you are unsure about your particular power source.

What's new in the EAGLE6: Observatory Actions

Observatory Actions featured in the new EAGLE6 introduces dedicated CTRL IN and CTRL OUT ports, enabling powerful remote control capabilities for your telescope. The CTRL IN port provides a variety of remote control options, that you can choose and personalize in the EAGLE Manager X interface, by choosing if you want to power on, off or power cycle the EAGLE itself (without physically pressing the ON button), to manage the 12V power out ports or dew-heater ports remotely (for example in order to pre-heat your telescope optics before starting the session), to toggle the USB 2.0 ports or activate/deactivate the DARK mode. To activate these actions, simply connect an external device with a dry contact (e.g., a smart relay switch) to the CTRL IN port using a cable with 2.5mm audio jack and activate the relay switch through your smartphone.

The CTRL OUT port adds even more functionality by allowing you to turn on/off external devices like mounts, domes, or other observatory equipment that support external switch control. Simply use a compatible cable (not included with EAGLE6 since it depends on the mount or dome you connect to it) to connect EAGLE’s CTRL OUT port to the external switch port of your device, then set the way the CTRL OUT port will send the command to your device in the EAGLE Manager X.

What's new in the EAGLE6: Lights-out Management (LOM)

Lights-out Management (LOM) feature in the new EAGLE6 takes remote control and monitoring to a whole new level and ensure everything is ready for observation, even before the EAGLE6 is turned on. With a dedicated Ethernet port, LOM allows you to monitor the operational status of computer, remotely power on the EAGLE, monitor its sensors and control switchable power and USB ports - independently of the operating system, so you can do all of these also when the computer is powered off. This functionality makes it a great tool for remotely controlled telescopes, where physical access to equipment is limited or impractical. Lights-out Management can be accessed by using a computer connected to the same network of the EAGLE, by plugging an Ethernet cable to the EAGLE dedicated LOM port.

EAGLE6 S: dimensions and weight

EAGLE6 S includes all these advanced features in an aluminium, lightweight, compact all-in-one chassis designed to be installed on your telescope in the way you prefer. This way you can connect all the USB and 12V power cables from your devices to the EAGLE greatly improving your cable management. The EAGLE6 S weights just 1.2 kg (2.65 lbs). In the picture you can see all the dimensions with positions of M6 and M5 threaded holes to connect rings, bars and clamps.
