CELESTRON VARIABLE POLARIZING EYEPIECE FILTER
Celestron
CELESTRON VARIABLE POLARIZING EYEPIECE FILTER is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Celestron Variable Polarizing filter is useful for reducing the brightness and glare of objects such as the Moon, as well as increasing contrast on the planets. The front filter can be rotated to adjust the brightness to a comfortable level.
Warning: Polarizer and neutral density filters need additional filtering (for example, Baader Herschel Prism or Baader Astro Solar Safety Film) before the eyepiece of the telescope for observations of the sun. Using without the appropriate filters can cause damage to the these filters and eyesight.
The level of light transmission can be adjusted between 1 - 40%. This filter can also be used to darken the blue-sky background when hunting for planets like Venus or Jupiter in the daylight, making the planet stand out from the background.
The Variable Polarizing filter threads onto any Celestron 1.25” eyepiece. Lastly, the filter can be threaded on both sides so you can stack it with other filters, such as color or neutral density, if needed.
