BAADER H-ALPHA 20nm BANDPASS FILTER
Baader Planetarium
BAADER H-ALPHA 20nm BANDPASS FILTER - 1.25" is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Baader H-Alpha 20nm Bandpass filter is specifically designed for visual observation of faint emission nebulae under bright skies as well as imaging with colour CCD and CMOS cameras. Much like the Super G O-III filter, the 20nm H-alpha filter acts as an exceptional high-contrast H-alpha/Red filter for RGB imaging with both mono and colour cameras.
With highly efficient UV/IR blocking out to 1400nm, this filter helps reduce blurring caused by defocused light with refractor optics. The wide bandpass makes this filter suitable for use with fast optics, without the need to worry about pre-shifting as you do with typical narrowband filters.
WARNING: This filter alone cannot be used for direct solar observation!
Baader CMOS-Optimized filters - advantages
- Very high contrast due to steep edges of the coating
- Reflex-Blocker coatings to minimize reflections caused by correctors, reducers and other optical elements
- Standardized thickness for maximum possible parfocality - less need to refocus due to different filter thicknesses
- Blackened edges with front-side markings
- Each filter is individually fine-polished and coated with sealed coating edge, preventing moisture ingress
- Life-Coat for hardness and age-resistance, making the filters able to withstand tougher conditions for longer
