BAADER CARL ZEISS 1.25" ABBE-BARLOW LENS 2x is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Carl Zeiss Abbe Barlow lens is an exceptionally high quality 2x Barlow for both visual and photographic use. Made by Carl Zeiss in Jena and with a 1.25" / T2 ClickLock by Baader, the Abbe Barlow has incredible performance over the visual spectrum.
Carl Zeiss's multi-layer anti-reflection coatings are regarded as the best ever made, with only 0.2% loss over the exact spectral region where the night-adapted human eye is most sensitive. This extremely high efficiency also translates to near-zero coating scatter for the highest contrast ever seen. No lens-system has ever been coated to more stringent requirements for visual observation and for visual spectrum photography as well.
The Abbe Barlow lens consists of two parts. The front barlow section ends with a photographic T-2 thread suitable to directly connect onto standard DSLR T-rings. A Baader ClickLock eyepiece clamp with rotary clamping system is connected to the T2 thread.
An enlargement of the imaging scale up to three times is possible without loss of quality. On the first T-2 thread you can connect normal T-rings, so you have a 2x Barlow lens - with 1¼ " barrel - in front of every camera or DSLR camera housing. If you add T-2 extensions the magnification can be extended by up to 3x. We recommend using Baader's T-2 Varilock clamps for stepless adjusting of the optical length - either the Varilock 20 - 29mm (BA2956929) or Varilock 29 - 46mm (BA2956946).
