ASKAR FMA180 PRO WITH EAF BUNDLE

The Askar FMA180 Pro with EAF bundle includes the FMA180 Pro, ZWO EAF electronic focuser and mounting hardware to connect the EAF. With this kit, you will be able to fully utilize the FMA180 for automated astrophotography with remote autofocusing.

Note: The EAF pictured in the product photos is the older 12V version. The EAF that ships with the FMA180 bundle is the new 5V version.

The new Askar FMA180 PRO F/4.5  is an updated version of the extremely versatile, lightweight sextuplet apochromatic refractor with two ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses. The Pro version features a newly-designed body with 360 degree rotator and 150mm Vixen dovetail base.

The FMA180 is a very capable super wide-field astrograph with minimal chromatic aberration and distortion. As well as its superb imaging capability, it can be configured as a visual telescope, finder or guide scope.

Installation

1. Remove the original Vixen dovetail plate and finder base from the FMA180 Pro.

2. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to connect the new bracket to the FMA180 Pro using the two M4 x 8 button head screws. There is a slot in the base of the bracket which will allow you to pass these through to the telescope.

3. Use a 1.2mm Allen wrench to connect the synchronous pully to the EAF using the two M3 x 2 locking screws. Place the EAF into the bracket.

4. Install the synchronous belt with on end around the front focusing ring of the FMA180 and the other end around the pulley.

5. Adjust the position of the EAF so that the belt is tight then fix the EAF in place using the two remaining M4 x 8 button head screws.

6. Reconnect the Vixen dovetail plate with the two M6 x 8 socket head cap screws. You're finished!
