Askar's wide-field apochromatic refractors are exceptionally well made, compact and cost-effective instruments for the serious astrophotographer. The FRA and PHQ series of astrographs feature built-in flat field correction thanks to the Petzval optical design and are optimized for very large image circles, showing very little optical distortion and chromatic aberration.

The Askar ACL200 F/4  is a 4-element apochromatic refractor with a built-in 2-element corrector and two ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses, with the form factor of a traditional telephoto lens. Unlike traditional camera lenses, the ACL200 is designed specifically for the demands of astrophotography and is corrected across a full-frame image circle. The compact size makes it incredibly easy to travel with.
